Biden Campaign Joins Truth Social, Gets Ratioed

'We just joined Truth Social, mostly because we thought it would be very funny...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) On Monday, Joe Biden’s campaign team launched a new account on Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, for which it was “ratioed” and criticized by Trump supporters.

“Well. Let’s see how this goes. Converts welcome!” the Biden-Harris HQ account wrote in its first post.

After that, the leftists behind the account started posting clips of other Republicans who are running for president in 2024 criticizing Trump —the clear front-runner for the party’s nomination—and a post asserting his “long record of lying to auto workers,” the Epoch Times reported.

“We just joined Truth Social, mostly because we thought it would be very funny,” Biden’s team wrote in one of its Twitter posts.

Before the launch, campaign officials said that they had hopes of “meeting voters where they are.”

“Republicans can’t even agree on a Speaker of the House, so clearly, not every Republican thinks the same. There’s very little ‘truth’ happening on Truth Social, but at least now it’ll be a little fun,” they said, adding that they intended to combat “mis- and disinformation” on the social media platform.
However, the result that they got was not something that they wanted because, within three hours of its first “truth,” the account was able to get just only over 4,500 followers, with nearly all of its posts being “ratioed”—meaning they received more replies than likes or reposts.

Considering that the platform was primarily created for Trump supporters, it was not a surprise that the overwhelming majority of the replies to the posts were very negative.

After Jan. 6, 2021, when Trump was banned from every social media platform, he launched Truth Social in February 2022.

After Elon Musk bought Twitter, he restored Trump’s account, but Trump has only posted there once in the months since.

“Election Interference. Never Surrender!” he wrote on Aug. 24, 2023, after he was arrested in Fulton County, Ga., in connection with him talking about Democrats stealing the 2020 election. The post also included his mug shot, which he has since used to raise funds for his election campaign.
