(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Leftist “Squad” Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., who has spent the better part of a week dodging questions about the recent Hamas attack on Israel, had a particularly bad day Tuesday after the longtime promulgator of anti-Semitic rhetoric was confronted with evidence of some particularly barbaric acts during the weekend massacre.
Fox News reporter Hillary Vaughn chased Tlaib through the corridors of the U.S. Capitol hoping to get a response from the congresswoman, who recently posted a Palestinian flag on her office door, as noted by talk-radio personality Todd Starnes.
“Do you condone what Hamas has done chopping off babies’ heads, burning children alive, raping women in the streets,” the reporter asked on several occasions throughout the video, with no acknowledgement from Tlaib.
Previously, Tlaib mourned the loss of lives on “both sides,” but she refused to condemn Hamas for its assault, Townhall reported.
After her initial failure to respond, Tlaib’s office issued a statement on Sunday.

In her statement, Tlaib emphasized the Palestinians who had been killed, culminating in her blaming of the Israelis for the violence that has plagued the Middle East for decades.
“The path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance,” Tlaib claimed.
Aside from accusing the Israelis of apartheid, she also suggested that the attacks were the only remaining choice for the Palestinians, who felt compelled to defend their people from perpetual Israeli aggression.
“The failure to recognize the violent reality of living under siege, occupation, and apartheid makes no one safer,” she said. “No person, no child anywhere should have to suffer or live in fear of violence. We cannot ignore the humanity in each other.”
According to some reports, the success of the Hamas attack hinged largely on the fact that it was able to slip largely under the radar, having spent two years leading Israel to believe that it was not interested in escalating tension and that economic incentives, such as Palestinian work contracts within Israel that brought wealth to its territories, were having a positive impact.
However, a wide array of theories have arisen, suggesting that key players like Iran or the reformed ISIS may have had a role in funding and coordinating the attack.
Notably, Tlaib’s statement made no reference whatsoever to Hamas or its radical Islamic allies.
This was not the first time that Tlaib used hysterical language to describe the Middle East’s political situation.
In September 2022, for instance, the Michigan Democrat used “apartheid” language to describe Israel’s relations with its neighboring nations.
Tlaib told progressives that “you cannot claim to hold progressive values, yet back Israel’s apartheid government.”
And in May, she hosted an event at the Capitol that controversially mourned the 1948 founding of Israel, using the Arabic word “Nabka” or catastrophe, to refer to it.
Tlaib concluded her recent statement by recommending that America stop sending billions of dollars to Israel in order to sponsor international apartheid.
“As long as our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue,” she concluded.
