Democrats Let Loose on Biden’s Age: ‘His Death Is Imminent’

'The voters don’t want this, and that’s in poll after poll after poll. You can’t look at what you look at and not feel some apprehension here...'

(Headline USA) Democrat officials across the country are opening up about their concerns about President Joe Biden’s age and “imminent death” ahead of the 2024 election, according to the Washington Post.

With more than 70% of voters expressing concerns about Biden’s age, Democrat leaders said they are worried the soon-to-be-81-year-old president’s health could prevent the him from winning reelection.

“He is in a period of his life where passing and death is imminent,” Sharon Sweda, the leader of the Democratic Party in Lorain County in Ohio, told the outlet. “We are all on a ticking clock. But when you’re at his age or at Trump’s age, that clock is ticking a little faster, and that’s a concern for voters.”

The false equivalency between the two frontrunners has been a common theme among NeverTrumpers, including retiring Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah, who called on both Biden and Trump to do the same.

It comes as polls show Trump with a four point advantage over Biden despite the best efforts of his opponents to neutralize him with spurious lawfare attacks including 91 counts in four different lawsuits brought by corrupt prosecutors in New York, Florida, Georgia and Washington, D.C.

Voters also remain convinced that Trump, 77, remains considerably more lucid and capable, both mentally and physically, of performing the duties of the office.

A Democrat lawmaker who wished to remain anonymous said the party is concerned there won’t be a viable back-up option to Biden if he has to drop out of the 2024 race within the next year.

“The worst-case scenario is we get past the nominating process with President Biden as the nominee, and then he’s no longer able to continue on as the nominee,” the lawmaker said. “That’s the nightmare scenario for Democrats.”

Vice President Kamala Harris’s net approval has been underwater since five months into her term and has only continued to widen, with the current margin of negative 15 points making her the most unpopular vice president in recorded history.

Longtime Democrat strategist James Carville said the party should also be concerned about Biden’s age driving down enthusiasm among both Democrat and independent voters.

“The voters don’t want this, and that’s in poll after poll after poll,” Carville told the New York Times on Monday. “You can’t look at what you look at and not feel some apprehension here.”

The most recent general-election match-up has Biden losing to just about every Republican candidate, including Trump, former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley, and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C.

Biden’s chief rival, Trump, has notably refrained from criticizing Biden over his age, and has instead argued that Biden’s mental deterioration is the real problem.

“He’s not too old at all. He’s grossly incompetent,” Trump said last week.
