(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In order to bolster support for communism at home and abroad, Chinese officials have crafted a new policy designed to force artificial intelligence companies to actively promote Marxist views, the Washington Times reported.
Chinese officials, presumably seeing how artificial intelligence could threaten the state, moved to regulate the industry in order to avoid the spread of anti-CCP opinions.

The party wishes to eliminate all content that “endangers national security” or spreads “false and harmful information.”
The regulations are meant to serve as “interim” rules, until a more permanent set of guidelines can be put into place.
Matt Sheehan, a China expert at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, penned a report which stated that China’s regulations of AI are among the world’s strictest.
They will reportedly seek to ban excessive price discrimination while protecting workers and restricting AI’s use of personal data.
According to Sheehan, this has been a long time coming. The Eastern giant has moved to limit the movement of the new technology since 2021, when China restricted AI algorithms by requiring the registration of software with state authorities.
Last year, they also added rules to restrict “synthetically generated content.”
Finally, they have now moved to total “information control,” which is a “central goal of all three measures, but they also contain many other notable provisions,” according to Sheehan.
China’s movement on the AI regulation front has been seen by some as a move to set the terms of AI globally, before other nations can offer their own regulatory guidelines.
Given the size of the Chinese market for AI providers, the concerns may be legitimate.
Even Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., argued that China should not be permitted to “write the rules of the road” for the rest of the world’s engagement with the new technology.
Still, however, the American left’s move to regulate AI will come at a high price as they attempt to rig the technology to favor their woke moral prescriptions.
Some on Twitter even pointed out the similarities between China’s response and the Democrats’ response:
