(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) House Oversight Ranking Member Jamie Raskin, D-Md., made a shocking admission regarding the Bidens’ alleged criminal activities in a Sunday interview on ABC News’s This Week.
Raskin candidly referred to Hunter Biden’s questionable business dealings and bribery scandal as “really unlawful and wrong things,” diverging from his previous attempt to maintain Hunter’s innocence, despite mounting evidence showing otherwise.
When questioned about the ongoing scrutiny of the presidential son’s business involvements, Raskin conceded, “I am concerned about it.” The Maryland lawmaker later delved into allegations of former President Donald Trump’s foreign business dealings.
Pressed on whether he would endorse a thorough investigation into Hunter Biden’s activities, Raskin replied, “Yes, of course, we would and we’re going to release a report about all of the foreign governments, millions of dollars we can document Donald Trump pocketed at the hotels, at the gulf courses through business deals when he was president.”
Repeating a frequent Democrat talking point, Raskin falsely claimed that the Republican-led House Oversight Committee had not found any evidence of President Joe Biden profiting of his role as president.
Raskin acknowledged Hunter’s conduct, remarking, “We all see clear this guy [Hunter Biden] was addicted to drugs and did an amount of really unlawful and wrong things and we’ve said, ‘Let the justice system run its course.’”
But Raskin’s assertions contradict his past actions. In recent months, Raskin attempted to undermine mounting damning evidence connecting President Biden to his son’s activities.
Notably, IRS whistleblowers and Devon Archer, a former business associate, have disclosed longstanding allegations contradicting Biden’s claims that he had never discussed his business dealings with his son.
Earlier this year, former Attorney General Bill Barr refuted Raskin’s contentions that an inquiry into the allegations of a $10 million bribery scheme involving both Biden and his son had been terminated by the Trump administration.
Similarly, Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., has tried to shield the president by attributing false quotes to Archer, who confirmed in closed-door testimony that Biden had been on the phone at least 20 times while his son was handling business.
