Barack and Michelle Obama Break Silence after Personal Chef’s Death

'Tafari Campbell showed us what true character looks like...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have spoken out for the first time following the tragic death of their personal chef, Tafari Campbell.

The 45-year-old chef’s lifeless body was recovered from Edgartown Great Pond last month, with law enforcement reporting that he apparently drowned while paddleboarding near the Obama’s mansion in Martha’s Vineyard.

The former Democratic president expressed his sorrow and admiration for Campbell in a statement on Instagram. “Tafari Campbell showed us what true character looks like. He believed that actions speak louder than words,” Obama wrote, accompanied by a photo of Campbell and his wife. “And he used his immense gifts to bring people together, provide comfort, and spread joy. I’ll miss him every day.

Michelle Obama echoed Barack’s sentiments, sharing her grief in a post on Instagram. “I will miss my friend, Tafari…the emptiness is hard. But I promise to stay strong, keep living, and honor your legacy in every way possible. Rest in peace, my brother,” she said in her statement.

The Massachusetts State Police promptly clarified the circumstances surrounding Campbell’s passing, confirming on July 24, that Tafari Campbell, a resident of Dumfries, Virginia, was indeed the victim recovered from the Great Pond.

They emphasized that the former president and his wife were not present at their Martha’s Vineyard residence when the accident occurred.  Obama’s statement comes two days after a biographer released a bombshell book, arguing that Barack once told a girlfriend in a letter that he fantasized about being with men.

The book has sparked intense media attention and public debate about the former president’s personal life.  As reported by Headline USA, “David Garrow revealed in a recent interview that Obama fantasized about having sex with a man, refused to condemn both anti-Semitism and black nationalism and is currently a shadow president of the United States, among many other things.”  The former president’s statement, however, does not address the allegations brought forward by the biographer.
