(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A far-left Georgia prosecutor is readying criminal charges in the anti-Trump investigation related to election integrity efforts in the Peach State.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, a Democrat, ordered her staff to work from home in the first weeks of August and asked state judges in an Atlanta courtroom not to set trial dates for that time, in a Thursday letter to county officials.
These moves insinuated that she will unseal a grand jury indictment related to her probe of the infamous 2020 presidential election, reported the New York Times.
“Thank you for your consideration and assistance in keeping the Fulton County Judicial Complex safe during this time,” Willis said in the letter, later adding that the remote work is aimed at reducing the number of her staff in the Fulton County Courthouse and Government Center “by approximately 70%” over security concerns.
Willis previously coordinated with the FBI to tighten law enforcement presence in downtown Georgia for dates of July 11 and September 1, but later pushed back the scheduled dates due to potential plea deals with those subjected to the probe, the Times reported.
The anti-Trump investigation stemmed from allegations related to the challenges of the 2020 election. Then President Donald Trump asked Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” votes in a call amid the certification of the election. Trump’s rationale referred to tossed ballots that may have been beneficial to his candidacy.
The latest news from Willis comes in the wake of the grand jury foreman earlier this year going on a crazed media blitz that was roundly condemned and slammed by Trump attorneys.

The former president has defended his call to Raffensperger, which was used to fuel the second impeachment, saying there was nothing illegal about it. In a CNN town hall hosted by former Daily Caller blogger Kaitlan Collins, Trump said Raffensperger “owed him votes.”
“This was a call that was made to question the results of the election,” he said. “When we can’t make a call to question the election results, then this country ought to just forget about it.”
Trump continued, “I said you owe me votes because the election was rigged.”

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney denied a Trump request for 21 additional days to respond to a brief related to his call to disqualify Willis from the investigation. Trump attorney Drew Findling submitted a 483-page-report asking the court to block Willis from filing any charges in her probe.
