Rudy Giuliani Sued by Ex-Employee for Sexual Assault/Harassment

'Unfortunately, Giuliani’s seemingly generous offers were a sham motivated by his secret desire to pursue a sexual relationship with Ms. Dunphy...'

(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) Rudy Giuliani is being #MeTooed.

A woman who claims to be a former employee is suing the ex-New York City mayor and Donald Trump confidant in connection with various allegations revolving around “abuse of power, sexual assault and harassment, wage theft, and other misconduct.”

The plaintiff in case, Noelle Dunphy, claims that Giuliani hired her in January 2019 as director of business development.

The 70-page complaint filed on Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court (which, in the Empire State, is actually the trial court) contains 22 counts, including battery, and seeks $10 million in money damages.

Among its many tawdry allegations is perhaps the principal claim that Giuliani, 78, pressured Dunphy into a sexual relationship.

Making matters worse, the ex-mayor allegedly stiffed her, as it were, on her $1 million per year salary for two years on the job, supposedly because he wanted to keep the hiring quiet while his divorce settlement was pending.

Rudy offered her another perk, free legal advice, the complaint asserts.

“As an added inducement, Giuliani also offered to provide pro bono legal representation to Ms. Dunphy in connection with an ongoing dispute arising from an abusive ex-partner,” it says.

“To Ms. Dunphy, the chance to work for an influential politician once dubbed ‘America’s Mayor,’ combined with the prospect of free legal representation by a former United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, was a rare opportunity that was simply too good to pass up,” it adds.

The seemingly prestigious job allegedly turned out to hardly be the typical employer–employee scenario, the filing claims.

“Unfortunately, Giuliani’s seemingly generous offers were a sham motivated by his secret desire to pursue a sexual relationship with Ms. Dunphy—in total disregard for the restraints that should have protected her as his employee and client,” the complaint alleges.

The complaint indicates that she recorded her purported boss making various offensive comments of a “sexist, racist, or anti-Semitic” nature and details various other kinds of his alleged lurid misbehavior, including trying to sell presidential pardons.

The lawsuit names Giuliani personally, as well as several companies for which he has an ownership interest, as defendants.

The complaint also includes a still photo of an embarrassing sequence from the 2020 Borat sequel that seems to show Giuliani in a compromising position.

Obviously, the satirical Borat films made everyone look bad who didn’t catch on to what prankster Sacha Baron Cohen was doing as his alter ego, although the left-wing British comedian has shown a particular affinity for targeting and lampooning American conservatives.

Giuliani’s team previously denied that Dunphy was ever an employee.

In a statement, one of his advisors upped the ante:

“Mayor Rudy Giuliani unequivocally denies the allegations raised by Ms. Dunphy[,] and every news outlet covering this story must include the fact that an ex-partner accused her of being, ‘an escort that fleeces wealthy men,'” it said.

Giuliani further claimed that Dunphy had taken part in “prior schemes to defraud high net-worth men,” citing a 2016 New York Post story.

Dunphy supposedly “‘bragged about extorting $5 million’ from the son of a successful Wall Street investor, with a fake rape claim in 2011,” said the statement. “Mayor Giuliani’s lifetime of public service speaks for itself[,] and he will pursue all available remedies and counterclaims.”
