Minnesota Bill Could Make Pedophiles a Protected Class

'The past 36 hours in this job have been the most difficult so far... All for a lie told about a small bill that changes nothing about sexual orientation...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) State-level representatives in Minnesota introduced a bill that, if passed, would protect pedophiles under state law.

Democrat lawmakers sought to amend the current anti-discrimination law to eliminate an addendum that excludes sexual attraction to children as a sexual orientation.

The authors of the bill described it as “removing certain sections into the human rights act that allow for discrimination based on sexual orientation.”

According to the Daily Caller, the phrase “‘sexual orientation’ does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult,” would be removed from the current law if the bill passes.

This change would allow anti-discrimination protections for pedophiles in employment, housing, public accommodations, public services, educational institutions, credit and businesses.

The bill, HF 1655, would also establish a legal definition for gender identity and grant legal recognition to the fact that identity may not be visible to others.

Leigh Finke, the first transgender lawmaker to serve on the Minnesota House of Representatives, is listed as one of the co-authors on the bill.

Finke is an avid proponent of child-sex changes and frequently invites mentally compromised minors to Minnesota, where they can receive “healthcare, security, and hope.”

The bill received significant criticism, which Finke responded to via Twitter

“The past 36 hours in this job have been the most difficult so far… All for a lie told about a small bill that changes nothing about sexual orientation,” Finke tweeted.

“So much cruelty. For what?” Finke continued. “For a one minute floor debate on a 2 line amendment that received a unanimous vote. Literally. No. Controversy. Folks could have listened, but they didn’t want to. They instead used the opportunity to amplify the hatred of trans people.”

Finke previously worked as an activist for renewable energy and was a long time advocate for “confronting sexual shame in the church.” Finke has two daughters.
