Bloomberg Blasted for Using a Child in Attempted Clarence Thomas Smear

'My 7yr old Daughter also thinks it’s a problem that the people at Bloomberg don’t understand the nature and purpose of the Supreme Court... '

(Abdul–Rahman Oladimeji Bello, Headline USA) Twitter users slammed Bloomberg Opinion for using a child to throw jabs at Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. A Daily Wire report noted that Bloomberg’s Crash Course podcast aired an episode on Clarence’s alleged financial conflicts of interest. During the podcast, host Tim O’Brien asked his son Cooper for his thoughts.

The host asked his son, “What do you think a financial conflict of interest is?”

“When two people both share a bank account and [one person] wants to spend money on something, but the other person doesn’t,” Cooper replied.

“That’s a good thought,” O’Brien commented. “What if I told you it describes when powerful people, like people who sit on the Supreme Court, have money or other things they own and that might affect how they rule on things?”

“I don’t think that’s correct and I don’t think that should happen,” Cooper answered.

“These 9 people make decisions on the future of democracy in the US,” Bloomberg tweeted. “But they aren’t held to the same level of accountability as Congress. Even Cooper, the son of our podcast host, thinks that’s a problem.”

However, Twitter users immediately reacted to the tweet, blasting the outlet for using a child to push the leftist agenda.

Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro tweeted, “Well if Cooper says so, that means that Article MCVII of the Constitution has been invoked, so the Supreme Court is officially disbanded.”

Karol Markowicz, journalist and author of the book Stolen Youth, tweeted, “Children are currently used as activists on climate change and gun control, as we lay out in Stolen Youth. Look for them to move child soldiers to other issues.”

Justice Clarence Thomas has been on the leftist radar since ProPublica reported that he accepted paid travel expenses from Republican donor Harlan Crow. However, Thomas responded that he had received gifts for decades as “there are few restrictions on what gifts justices can accept,” unlike Congress members who are not allowed to accept gifts over $50. Thomas has reportedly not been implicated in any wrongdoing tied to matter.
