(Corine Gatti, Headline USA) A woke South Carolina teacher was fired after handing out an unapproved and sexually deviant article on LGBTQ+ identity to her 10th-grade students.
The Spartanburg School District 6 administrators took action after complaints flooded the school that a Language Arts teacher at Dorman High School had presented an article to her Dorman High School students that were “inappropriate” and “unapproved.”
After researching the article further, it was discovered that the content focused on the International Bear Brotherhood, a subgroup within the LGBTQ+ community that provides a sense of belonging to men who may be struggling with their sexual identity.
The term “Bear,” is slang for non-heterosexual men who are generally larger with a fair amount of body or facial hair.
The teacher told school officials that it was her personal decision to distribute the article to her students and facilitate a class discussion, Fox News Digital reported.
No long after that conversation, she was dismissed. The district found the teacher’s decision to distribute the article to be a clear violation of their policy and terminated her employment with the school.
One parent said they would be open for discussion and conversation afterwards, “but it’s not something that I feel like should be brought up, and it would aggravate me that it happened to my child.”
