Notorious LinkedIn Co-Founder Bankrolling Rape Lawsuit against Trump

'Plaintiff’s potential political ties are pertinent to her motivation for filing her lawsuits, her potential bias against Defendant, and her credibility as a witness...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Big Tech billionaire and left-wing activist Reid Hoffman is bankrolling the rape lawsuit from 79-year-old New York socialite and columnist E. Jean Carroll against former President Donald Trump, Front Page Magazine reported.

Hoffman, who cofounded the professional networking platform LinkedIn, is a major Democratic donor. According to the Daily Beast, he routinely expresses a “distaste for Trump’s authoritarian and anti-democratic tendencies.”

Ironically, Hoffman’s Trump Derangement Syndrome has led him to engage in several anti-democratic practices of his own, including a 2018 scheme to spread disinformation in an Alabama senatorial race that allowed the Democrat candidate, Doug Jones, to narrowly win.

The latest allegation against Hoffman was made by Trump’s attorney, who wrote in a court filing that Hoffman was the money behind Carroll’s funding, as well as the notorious Steele Dossier that helped propel the yearslong Russia-collusion hoax.

“Previously, Hoffman contributed more than $600,000 to the legal defense fund of Bean LLC6—otherwise known as Fusion GPS, the company responsible for the creation of the Steele Dossier,” the attorneys wrote.

They suggested more directly that Hoffman himself covered “certain expenses and legal fees.”

Because of the financial ties to the Jeffrey Epstein-linked mega-donor, Trump’s lawyers suggested that Carroll’s credibility in court has been undermined.

“Plaintiff’s potential political ties are pertinent to her motivation for filing her lawsuits, her potential bias against Defendant, and her credibility as a witness,” the letter states.

Carroll’s lawyer, Roberta Kaplan, denied the allegations.

“Carroll has never met and has never been party to any communications (written or oral) with anyone associated with the nonprofit,” she said.

Although Kaplan insisted that the accusation had “nothing directly to do with the ultimate merits of the case,” it could “perhaps prove relevant to the question of the plaintiff’s credibility,” she acknowledged.

“One thing is clear—Trump will stop at nothing to avoid having a jury hear Carroll’s claims,” Kaplan added.

Hoffman finances Trump’s political and legal opponents by way of a nonprofit that he founded in 2019, the American Future Republic.

According to Dmitri Mehlhorn, one of Hoffman’s philanthropic advisors, Hoffman generally supports Democrats, but has also helped never-Trump Republicans since 2016.

Mehlhorn noted that Hoffman went out of his way to support “Republicans who have stood up for the safety and security of our Democracy, from Rusty Bowers in Arizona to Brad Raffensberger in Georgia.”
