(Headline USA) Former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines threatened to sue San Francisco State University, where she was physically assaulted by trans activists last week, after an official downplayed the protests against her as “peaceful.”
Gaines alleged that she was hit by a male student while she was being escorted by police away from an angry mob of protesters at the university. Videos of the chaos show dozens of students berating Gaines following her speech and barricading her inside a classroom for more than three hours.

Following the mayhem, Jamillah Moore, vice president for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management, emailed students thanking them for engaging in a “peaceful” protest against Gaines.
“It took tremendous bravery to stand in a challenging space,” Moore wrote. “I am proud of the moments where we listened and asked insightful questions. I am also proud of the moments when our students demonstrated the value of free speech and the right to protest peacefully.”
Gaines responded on Twitter: “I’m sorry did this just say PEACEFUL …. I was assaulted. I was extorted and held for ransom. The protestors demanded I pay them if I wanted to make it home safely. I missed my flight home because I was barricaded in a classroom… We must have different definitions of peaceful.”
Gaines also shared a screenshot of Moore’s Twitter account, showing that Moore had blocked her.

In an interview with Fox News, Gaines said she wants to hold the school accountable for failing to control their students and keep her safe.
“The campus police did nothing. The dean of students was there and did nothing. There will be no repercussions unless I have something to do with it,” she said.
San Francisco State University claimed it was launching an investigation into the attacks on Gaines.
“We are conducting an ongoing investigation into the situation,” a spokesperson said on Friday. “The disruption occurred after the conclusion of the event which made it necessary for UPD officers to move the event speaker from the room to a different, safe location.”
