Trump Arrest Likely Next Week, Law Enforcement Preps for N.Y. Court Appearance

'There won’t be a standoff at Mar-a-Lago with Secret Service and the Manhattan DA’s office... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump will reportedly be arrested as soon as next week on charges brought by avid headhunter Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, stemming from an alleged bribery scheme and hush money paid to pornstar Stormy Daniels.

“We are learning that the Manhattan DA office has asked for a meeting with law enforcement ahead of a potential Trump indictment,” Fox News reported Friday. “The meeting … is to discuss logistics for some time next week which would mean they are anticipating an indictment next week.”

The George Soros-financed Bragg has made a career pursuing Trump, elevating the charges in the alleged hush-money case that has been ongoing upwards of four years from a misdemeanor to a felony, and an indictment of Trump would mark a major escalation of weaponizing politics against the former president.

Trump pushed back hard, declaring, “They’re not coming after me. They’re coming after you. I’m just standing in their way, and I always will stand in their way!”

Sources told Fox News that security preparations in and around the courthouse in lower Manhattan are already underway in preparation for an arrest next week.

Secret Service will take the lead in what they will allow or will not allow,” Fox News reported, for example, “The decision to handcuff the president, the former president, or not. They will set the tone and will escort him into the courtroom.”

Trump is expected to be “fingerprinted and processed like every other defendant.”

Officials said that plans were “precautionary in nature because no charges have been filed,” according to NBC News, which reported that “agencies involved include the NYPD, New York State Court Officers, the U.S. Secret Service, the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.”

With news that Bragg was about to pull the trigger on arresting the former president, Trump’s lawyer on Friday told the New York Daily News that Trump would not refuse to surrender if an indictment is issued.

“There won’t be a standoff at Mar-a-Lago with Secret Service and the Manhattan DA’s office,” Trump lawyer Joe Tacopina said.

Trump has vehemently denied all charges and blasted what he called “election interference into the politics of a failing nation” by Bragg and his Democrat cronies.

“From Russia, Russia, Russia, to the Mueller Hoax, to Impeachment Hoaxes 1 and 2, and even the Unlawful Mar-a-Lago Raid, Democrats have investigated and attacked President Trump since before he was elected – and they’ve failed every time,” Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung told Fox News Digital.

“Now Democrats are at it again, pushing the ‘Nuclear Button’ and attacking a President because of a disgraced extortionist,” Cheung said. “This is happening because President Trump is leading in the polls by a large margin against both Democrats and Republicans, and there’s never been anything so blatant in American political history.”
