State Dept. Funnels $750K in ‘Free Speech’ Grants to Radical Activists

The grant pushes 'support from and participation by lesbian and bisexual women, transgender and intersex individuals, and other gender diverse persons... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The Biden regime’s Department of State is attempting to appear bipartisan by offering grants to “free speech” organizations, but is disqualifying any organizations that advocate for conservative values.

According to Breitbart, left-wing advocacy organizations that promote transgenderism, abortion on demand and gender ideology being taught in America’s classrooms are qualifying to receive massive grants from the State Department under the guise of “free speech.”

Inclusion of “women and girls in all their diversity; LGBTQI+ persons, transgender or gender-diverse persons in particular; migrants; members of marginalized, radical, ethnic, and Indiginous communities, religious minority group members; and others targeted by anti-rights actors,” are all qualifiers for the grant, which could be up to $750,000.

The grant, titled “Ensuring Freedom of Expression for Vulnerable and Marginalized Populations Responding to Anti-Rights Efforts and Targeted Attacks,” also stipulates that “support from and participation by lesbian and bisexual women, transgender and intersex individuals, and other gender diverse persons,” is necessary for consideration.

Despite the purported aim to assist in “freedom of expression,” the grant is decidedly biased against conservatives. The funding opportunity seems like a specifically targeted countermeasure against actions taken by Florida’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis is actively battling the presence of gender ideology, particularly as it pertains to children.

“Increasingly, targeted anti-rights attacks, including ‘anti-gender’ movements, have variously: mobilized public support against inclusive legislation and/or promoted and propagated discriminatory legislation intended to curtail speech,” the funding offer states.

The request elaborates, stating that they will be specifically targeting anti-gender movements that “produced and circulated disinformation,” and “target vulnerable and marginalized communities.”

The State Department is laser focused on disinformation as of late, shelling out $275,000 to produce a video game focused on “countering disinformation.”

The game, which is called “Cat Park,” “inoculates players … by showing how sensational headlines, memes and manipulated media can be used to advance conspiracies theories and incite real-world violence,” according to a memo from Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

While the funding offer does not specify, it is likely that projects similar to “Cat Park” will receive funding.
