(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Rumors are swirling that the recently demoted CNN host Don Lemon is suffering a total breakdown, screaming at his coworkers as his life spirals downward, the New York Post reported.
Lemon, who was moved last year to CNN This Morning as part of a shakeup to soften the network’s image as a hard-left propaganda outlet, has allegedly screamed at one of his new cohosts, Kaitlan Collins, leaving the cast and crew in shambles.
Per several insider sources, the seasoned veteran approached the relatively new Collins after a show in early December to berate her publicly for interrupting him during the broadcast.
“Don screamed at Kaitlan, who was visibly upset and ran out of the studio,” one source with knowledge of the rift told the New York Post.
Another source noted that Collins now avoids Lemon as much as she can.
“At this point, Kaitlan wants to be on set with Don as little as possible,” the source said. “It’s messy.”
The blow-up, however, may be an outward sign of a deeper rift that has been palpable at times on air.
Specifically, Lemon got into it with both Collins and the other co-host, Poppy Harlow, last year regarding equal pay for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team.
“I know everyone’s gonna hate me,” Lemon began. “But the men’s team makes more money. If they make more money, then they should get more money. The men’s team makes more money because people are more interested in the men!”

Harlow and Collins grew hysterical upon hearing Lemon’s comment.
“Until big media companies, Big Tech companies, advertisers, invest and put them on their airwaves more and allow people to see it more and gain more fans,” Harlow argued. “Then you will push towards more equality. But if they are blocked in so many ways and not invested in as much, they don’t even have a chance.”
“I’m not sexist,” Lemon declared in response, offering up a shockingly sensible opinion.
“When I go to a sports bar—guys am I wrong? You guys don’t want to say anything,” Lemon added after quickly realizing he was on an island. “When I go to a sports bar, if there’s a women’s basketball game on … people will say, ‘can you flip it to the guys?’ I don’t want to watch this … you can not make people become interested in something they’re not interested in.”
Rumors have also emerged from CNN that Lemon has been instructed not to talk so much on the show, with producers insisting that he allow others to speak more often.
