(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Texas A&M University School of Medicine touted its anti-white racism and anti-men sexism when officials removed photos of its white male alumni to pander to woke dogma, boasting that the institution is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Last year, the university completed a survey for the Association of American Medical Colleges, in which they included that response, according to the Washington Examiner. The medical watchdog group Do No Harm obtained the school’s survey responses through a Freedom of Information Act request.
The survey talked about commitment to DEI, including maintaining “holistic admissions,” requiring diversity training for search committees and reviewing salaries for “diversity.”
When the survey asked schools if they had eliminated things that made it “non-inclusive,” the Texas A&M School of Medicine said that it removed “the predominantly white male photos of [the] graduating class prominently displayed on the entrance” to the school.
The school decided to crawl on its knees a little bit more, claiming that even one of the non-white people who work at the university complained that the institution talks “too much” to students, faculty and staff about its “formal policies related to diversity, inclusion, and equity.”
However, there is no need to even look at the survey results to find out that the university, in general, and the medical school, in particular, are woke. The Texas A&M School of Medicine openly talks about its commitment to DEI.
“Knowledge is power, and the primary purpose of a tertiary educational institution is to uplift humanity through the continuous advancement of the power of knowledge,” the statement declared.
“This is achieved through the creation, dissemination and application of knowledge in service to humanity. Given that knowledge comes from diverse sources and experiences, diversity is a sine qua non of excellence in tertiary education.”
“Grounded in this fundamental framework, Texas A&M University is deeply committed to a culture that embraces, expands and celebrates diversity in an inclusive environment where all parties are appreciated, encouraged and supported,” the statement added.
Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, the board chairman for Do No Harm, said that he thinks that woke schools like Texas A&M are sacrificing merit on the leftist altar and, therefore, harming the medical profession.
“Enhanc[ing] the quality of the medical workforce is the responsibility of medical schools,” Goldfarb said.
“If they have more capable individuals that they can bring in compared to the ones that they are bringing in because of these requirements for diversity and they’re not bringing those more qualified, more capable individuals in, they’re eventually producing a workforce that’s going to be less capable.”
