Lauren Boebert Introduces Bill to Stop Taxpayer-Funded Abortions for Illegal Immigrants

‘Our priority at the southern border should be security and peace, not death and destruction...’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert introduced a bill on Thursday aiming to end taxpayer-funded abortions for illegal immigrants in the United States, according to the Post Millennial.

The “No Taxpayer Funds for Illegal Alien Abortions Act” comes just one month after the Biden administration forced federal officials to care for pregnant unaccompanied illegal immigrants and transport them from conservatives states to leftist ones where killing babies in wombs is permitted.

“If passed, the bill would ‘prohibit any employee or contractor of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement or the Department of Health and Human Services from transporting any alien across State lines for the purpose of procuring an abortion for such alien,’” the Post Millennial wrote.

“The bill also stipulates that no funds authorized or appropriated via federal law would be permitted for use to pay for abortions or require anyone to perform or facilitate the practice.”

Boebert’s legislation, however, has an exception. In cases of rape, incest and a mother’s life being threatened because of a pregnancy, American taxpayers will be forced to pay for the murder of babies.

Despite the exceptions in her own bill that would force Americans to pay for the despicable procedure, Boebert criticized the Biden administration for doing the same thing.

“Boebert slammed the Biden administration for ‘unlawfully using taxpayer money to transport pregnant, illegal alien children across state lines for late-term abortions,’ adding that via the new legislation, she and her colleagues hope to ‘end these illegal and horrific policies once and for all,’” the news outlet wrote.

“Our priority at the southern border should be security and peace, not death and destruction,” Boebert added.

The latest guidance from the Biden administration was released in November as a response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, a law that allowed women an opportunity to kill their own babies on the federal level.

“The guidance stated that staff at the Office of Refugee Resettlement ‘must not prevent [unaccompanied children] from accessing legal abortion-related services’ and that they ‘must make all reasonable efforts to facilitate access to these services if requested by the [unaccompanied child],’” the news outlet reported.
