John Boehner’s Gag-Worthy Pelosi Tribute Reminds Us Why Trump Won

'I would have been a little disappointed if he did not get emotional...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Former House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, gave an embarrassing tribute to his corrupt and manipulative successor, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., during a portrait unveiling at the U.S. Capitol, Breitbart reported.

Boehner, who was a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump, credited Pelosi with being “one tough cookie” for having “wielded the gavel with such effective results,” in contrast with his own tenure.

In an especially brutal part of the speech, Boehner showed how open-minded he is by admitting that he has raised woke activist children.

“Madam Speaker, I have to say, my girls told me, ‘Tell the speaker how much we admire her,’” Boehner said as he began to openly weep with joy–as he has done on numerous occasions.

Chuckling, he added: “If you couldn’t tell, my girls are Democrats.”

Boehner, who served as speaker from 2011 to 2015, also noted that even though he and Pelosi “disagreed politically,” they “were never disagreeable”.

Boehner was ousted from his Speaker chair in 2015 when a number of Republicans from the newly formed House Freedom Caucus forced him to resign.

He also noted that Pelosi served as a good therapist for him when his own party members were too mean.

“You were so gracious to me, in fact, that at times, it got me in trouble with my own members,” he said.

In response to Boehner’s sappy emotional tribute, Pelosi let the audience know that she approved of his shedding tears for her and her achievements.

“How about John Boehner? Wasn’t that something? I’m telling you, I would have been a little disappointed if he did not get emotional.”

She also threw in a line to remind everyone of how she broke through the glass ceiling.

“This painting will stand out as a woman in that Speaker’s Lobby. I’m really honored my members had the courage to elect a woman speaker,” Pelosi said to applause. “That is not without courage.”

Pelosi’s portrait will be hung in the House lobby full of House speaker portraits in the U.S. Capitol. As a former House speaker, Boehner also has a portrait, reminding Republicans of what not to do.
