(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., gave credence to those who suggest deep state machinations are behind the J6 committee, when he said on CNN this Sunday that the committee will ‘scrub’ evidence before turning it over to Republicans.
Schiff said, “we will have to make sure that we scrub that evidence for personally identifiable information, that the evidence that we provide protects people’s security, it doesn’t put them at risk.” He continued, “So there are things that we’re going to have to do along those lines.”
CNN did not ask Schiff who he was protecting by altering the evidence before turning it over to Republicans, and he offered no clarification.
We do know that Schiff has been caught using doctored text messages as ‘evidence’ for his committee, according to the Epoch Times.
Schiff, though he could not say who he was protecting, did heap praise on Liz Cheney despite recent criticisms of her role in the witch hunt. He said, “her role on the committee has been indispensable.” He expressed tremendous respect for her,” and mentioned that she has “shown a lot of courage and backbone.” He concluded that, “the committee … would not have been the same without” Cheney.
Schiff, despite just admitting to scrubbing evidence from his committee’s report, insisted that Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., is only removing him from the intelligence committee because “McCarthy will do nothing but carry Donald Trump’s water.”
Schiff’s proposed scrubbing of evidence seems to put him in tension with his fellow California Democrat and committee member, Rep. Zoe Lofgren, according to the Epoch Times. She said, the committee will release “all the evidence,” and that it will do so “within a month,” she added the entirety of the evidence would be exposed, “for good or ill.”
“Within a month, the public will have everything that we’ve found, all the evidence,”
While it’s not known who the Democrats are protecting, Republicans claim that the committee exists for the sole purpose of attacking Trump.
