Noem Turns Against RNC Chair After Disappointing Midterm

'I don't know of a party that can continue to lose like we have and keep their jobs...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) After a disappointing midterm election, South Dakota’s Republican Gov. Kristi Noem slammed Ronna Romney McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee, for her failure to organize a coherent strategy, Business Insider reported.

In a recent interview with Fox News, Noem—who is widely expected to seek the GOP presidential nomination in 2024—went right after McDaniel, pulling no punches.

“We need to win. That’s just the fact,” she said. “Our kids’ future depends on it. We really have a responsibility to message what Republican policies bring to this country.”

She also emphasized the need for Republicans to reorganize, given that the current leadership is not getting the job done.

“I don’t know of a party that can continue to lose like we have and keep their jobs,” Noem said, adding that “everybody needs to evaluate what we are doing and is it effective.”

Some Republicans have floated the idea of Noem herself taking over as chair, though she has long denied any interest in that possibility.

Noem also took several shots at President Joe Biden during the interview.

When asked about what can be done by her as a governor to counteract disastrous leftist policies, especially related to energy, Noem mentioned that she has some ability to protect the people of South Dakota, but ultimately will be at the whim of Biden and his bureaucracy.

“This White House can pass fees, new fines and penalties against these oil companies, new regulations—all of that gets passed on to the consumer,” she said. “And when you look at many parts of this country, people don’t have the option to not drive a long way to take their kids to school school.”

“In states like yours and mine, it’s pretty chilly here in January and February, and they have to heat their homes and keep their families warm.”

Noem also noted that the absurdly high price of gas, especially deisel, which so many farmers and ranchers rely on, has contributed to massive inflation under Biden.

“An administration like this in the White House can do a lot of damage,” she concluded.
