Climate Hypocrites on Hot Seat for Private Jet Travel, Gourmet Meals

'Why should we be guided by these alarming hypocrites?... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Climate delegates arrived in Egypt for a United Nations summit on climate change, titled COP27, and displayed their deep concern for the environment by chartering private jets to the conference and then binging on high-dollar gourmet meals.

Many of the delegates faced severe criticism on social media for their blatant hypocrisy, arriving in private jets for a conference where, according to Climate Action Against Disinformation, the key topics of the COP27 conference was “hypocrisy and elitism.”

According to Daily Mail, reports estimated that over 400 planes landed near Sharm el-Sheikh, the beach resort where the conference was hosted. There have been several varying reports on how many jets have landed in Egypt, but an Egyptian source confirmed that the number is around 400.

“Leading by example? No way,” chided Rob Roos, member of European Parliament. “400 private jets at #COP27. Their attitude: ‘Do what I say, not what I do.’
“Why should we be guided by these alarming hypocrites?”

Others blasted the climate cultists for the hypocrisy of the COP27 menu offerings, which appeared every bit as elitist as the private jets.

Officials invited to the conference’s exclusive VIP restaurant can feast on “an array of pricey meat and fish dishes served up during the 12-day climate conference,” the Mail reported.
Some of the more choice offerings include angus beef medallion with sautéed potatoes for a pricey $100 or a creamy salmon for $40.

Climate alarmists can also imbibe a $50 one-hour unlimited drink package, with beer and wine, or those with real climate concerns can quaff bottomless cocktails for 90 minutes for $125.

Criticisms of elites using their private plains to fly around the world while fingerwagging at peons about climate change have risen in the last couple of years.

In America, its gotten to the point where constant jetsetter John Kerry has been spotted on commercial flights.

Kerry’s family jet has made 48 trips lasting for more than 60 hours, resulting in the emission of 715,886 pounds of carbon since the beginning of the Biden administration.

Even celebrities have been called out for their indulgence, with climate activists calling on Taylor Swift to sell one of her two private jets.

The UN’s last climate summit in Glasgow, COP26, received similar criticisms. A similar number of jets flew into Scotland for that conference. Climate activists especially have taken issue with this, hosting protests and calling attention to the blatant double standard.
