DeSantis Lands Crushing Blow against Woke Education in Florida

(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) As Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis rolled to a landslide win in Florida, he brought a plethora of education candidates with him.

Of the statewide school board races and education candidates DeSantis endorsed, a whopping 84% (24 of 30) won their elections, according to Politico.

Politico reported that education elections were unusually busy in Florida this year, with DeSantis, his Democrat opponents and Super-PACs all getting involved. That included the patriotic “Moms For Liberty,” which is so influential it was slandered by the mainstream media.

“In three other races, school board candidates endorsed by Democrats faced off against candidates backed by Moms for Liberty,” reported Politico. “Those supported by Moms for Liberty, a group that has emerged on the forefront of education in part by being active in local school board meetings, won each of those contests.”

The 1776 project, a Conservative rival to the 1619 project, was also heavily involved in this unusually competitive series of races.

“Out of the six candidates endorsed by DeSantis [five of which won] in runoff elections Tuesday, five squared off against opponents backed by the Florida Democratic Party,” according to Politico.

Politico, in less flattering terms, of course, described DeSantis as a trail breaker in this area. He is thought to be the first Florida governor to endorse school board candidates.

Even Politico acknowledged that the heated election in Florida was a referendum on the anti-grooming bill, passed in Florida earlier this year. The Florida election confirmed reporting from March, which showed that the vast majority of voters supported the anti-grooming bill.

The popularity of DeSantis-backed education candidates cleared up a few political events from earlier in the year. It showed, for example, why 16 blue states were willing to sue Florida over the bill. The popularity of the candidates also showed a real threat to Disney’s grooming habits, and thus explained woke corporations’s opposition to the bill. Finally, it shows the quality of Ron DeSantis’s instincts about Florida.

One wonders, if other states had imitated DeSantis’s ban of federal employees in polling places if more elections would have turned out like Florida’s.
