(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) After ballot fraud was discovered in the midwestern swing state of Wisconsin, an election official was axed for blowing the whistle when she was apparently supposed to keep quiet.

The deputy director of the City of Milwaukee Election Commission, Kimberly Zapata, uncovered large numbers of fraudulent military ballots that contained names of voters who do not exist, Becker News reported.
Upon her discovery, she sent the ballots to Assembly Elections Committee chairwoman Janel Brandtjen.
But after publicizing the information, exposing a major hole in the Wisconsin system by which anyone can request an absentee military ballot without photo ID or voter identification, Zapata was fired.
“Milwaukee Election Commission Deputy Director Kimberly Zapata, 45, of South Milwaukee was fired by Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson this week after Johnson discovered she had requested the ballots,” the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. “Johnson said Zapata’s actions may have been to show voter fraud was possible.”
According to Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, Zapata’s actions may have undermined the public’s trust in our democracy ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
“This has every appearance of being an egregious and blatant violation of trust,” Johnson said. “Election integrity is absolutely integral. It’s absolutely essential.”
Wisconsin was one of the hotbed states for election fraud in 2020, with over 137,000 ballots being illegally trafficked in a a race that was ultimately decided by a mere 20,000 total votes.
“No, we’re not saying that all of these ballots are illegal,” said Catherine Engelbrecht, the founder of True the Vote who looked into the Wisconsin election fraud in great detail.
“What we are saying, though, is that they are being exploited and we believe that’s tantamount to abuse,” she added.
