State Dept. Claims ‘No Choice’ but to Partner w/ China to Fight Climate Change

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) In a slip that revealed how far the Biden administration has fallen in its standing on the international stage, State Department spokesman Ned Price recently claimed that the U.S. has “no choice” other than partnering with China to combat climate change.

China, which is one of the world’s largest coal producers, has not made climate change a priority and as the countries with the greatest emissions, the US and China are duty bound to address the issue, the Daily Caller reported.

“We have no choice but to find ways to cooperate with the PRC when it comes to climate,” Price said.

“We’ve demonstrated our ability to do so in the past and in fact it was about a year ago at the previous COP where Secretary Kerry and his counterpart announced a joint agreement that helped us make tremendous headway towards our ultimate climate goals,” he added.

Price elaborated that the temporary suspension on the partnership was “deeply regrettable” because of the toll it would take on the “international community on the globe.”

Price emphasized the importance of the continued relationship between the U.S. and China, in hopes that there could be collaboration in lowering emissions to prevent temperature rises.

When asked if the government had no other choice than to go to China for help, Price responded by saying this partnership is in aid of the “global community.”

“This is an area that is manifestly in our interest, it is manifestly in the interest of the PRC,” he answered. “We’ve been able to work together on this particular issue precisely because not only is it in our interest, not only is it in the PRC’s interest, it’s in our shared interest and it’s in the interest of the global community.”

Price did not elaborate on what kinds of projects the now-partnered countries would be undertaking.

There are several ties from Beijing to the White House, with first son Hunter Biden coming under investigation for his foreign investments and rising suspicion that Chinese-compromised ESG investors are pulling strings inside the US government.
