(Headline USA) The drug-addicted man who allegedly attacked Paul Pelosi was an illegal immigrant from Canada who overstayed his visa, according to the New York Post.
David DePape, who faces federal and local charges after allegedly breaking into Pelosi’s San Francisco home and hitting him in the head with a hammer, was born in Canada in 1980 and came to the U.S. as early as 2001. He has a valid Social Security number based in Hawaii, which means he more than likely obtained a U.S. job.
However, his visa has since expired, and it is unclear just how long it has been expired.
Multiple questions about the alleged attack have been raised after local authorities shared their reports about the incident.
Democrats and mainstream media immediately accused DePape of being a right-wing extremist who wanted to kill House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. That narrative has come under scrutiny, even as the same bad actors continued to push a blame-MAGA narrative.
