DeSantis’s Hurricane Leadership Winning Democrat Voters in Fla.

'I don’t know about the rest of you motherf***ers, but I’m voting for DeSantis, and I’m a Democrat! ... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) A segment from a local news report in Florida has gone viral after a Florida Democrat praised Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’s emergency response to Hurricane Ian.

The clip comes from an Arcadia, Florida, news station, which was attempting to smear DeSantis for allegedly pausing the relief aid while he surveyed the damage, the Daily Wire reported.

“That gas is here in Arcadia,” the man said. “I don’t know about the rest of y’all but it’s here in Arcadia.”

“So, y’all know who we’re voting for,” the man continued. “I don’t know about the rest of you motherf***ers, but I’m voting for DeSantis, and I’m a Democrat! So y’all call it whatever the f*** you want to call it.

The disputed report originated from Michael Paluska at ABC Action News, which was in turn promoted by Florida Politics publisher Peter Schorsch under the title “Civilians furious as relief operations paused while Governor Ron DeSantis toured hard-hit Arcadia.”

“This is an absolute lie pushed by @MichaelPaluska and amplified by Peter,” DeSantis Deputy Press Secretary Jeremy Redfern tweeted. “Not a single operation was paused while the governor was on the ground. @DesotoCoSheriff and @JackBrewerBSI will confirm. The Sheriff literally posted about the Governor’s visit yesterday.”

The other man in the video is former NFL player Jack Brewer, who also disputed the claims by the ABC report.

“This is a lie.. ask Johnny if the aid stopped!! Smh,” he responded in a tweet.

Despite a methodical and measured emergency response to an devastating emergency situation, DeSantis has been attacked by the mainstream media as being a “segregationist,” and has even been accused of using the response to “preen and pose for photos in campaign attire.”
