(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Ken Starr, the former federal judge who led an investigation into the Clintons’ Whitewater scandal and uncovered former President Bill Clinton’s sexual affair with Monica Lewinsky, died Tuesday at a Houston hospital.
Starr’s investigation into the Lewinsky affair, and Clinton’s deceptions about the scandal, resulted in the disgraced president’s impeachment.

Starr died from complications following surgery, according to a statement from the family.
Starr’s investigation as independent counsel into the Clintons’ Whitewater scheme started with a focus on dubious real estate investments that benefited the Clinton cabal and ended with Bill Clinton’s impeachment after the House charged him with perjury and obstruction of justice for lying about his affair with Lewinsky.
She of the infamous blue dress was one of many who weighed in on Twitter after Starr’s death was made public.

Legal scholar Jonathan Turley praised Starr’s “brilliant career,” that “left an indelible legacy as an advocate, a judge, an independent counsel and an academic. He was a deeply principled and gracious person…”
… I argued the secret service privilege case with Ken during the Clinton scandal and continued to correspond with him through the years. He was someone who loved the law and never stooped to the level of his critics as he carried out his professional duties.
