(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) As tens of thousands of illegal immigrants roll across the border each year under the welcoming Biden administration, American support for immigration has dropped drastically.
Now, according to the findings of a recent NPR poll, it has been revealed that over half of Americans believe that the immigration crisis can be characterized as an “invasion” at the border, NPR reported.
Yet sure to signal its wokeness, NPR clarified that most Americans are delusional about the issue, being tricked routinely by misinformation.
The news giant also condemned Republicans in particular for holding particularly “negative views of immigrants” feigning ignorance by writing that “it’s not clear why those numbers have shifted.”
But ultimately, the “increasingly extreme rhetoric around immigration” has affected both sides of the aisle.
Characterizing the crisis as an “invasion,” according to immigration experts, “has a long running history in white nationalist circles,” opening up Americans to a rejection of diversity.
NPR was also sure to fact-check the long running “Replacement Theory,” which argues that the global elites — especially in high finance — are deliberately replacing Americans with immigrants, an argument accepted by more than one-third of those who took the poll.
They also found that nearly half of Americans believe that “Democrats are working to open our borders to more immigrants”—a plan that they specifically said they were going to enact upon taking office.
President Joe Biden and his administration even revoked Title 42 soon after taking office, which allowed illegal immigrants to be quickly deported during a health emergency like the COVID-19 pandemic.
Further, the Biden administration has even stated that its “objective” is “to make sure that we have safe, orderly, and legal pathways for individuals to be able to access our legal system.”
In other words, every illegal immigrant present in America must have a chance to apply for asylum before being deported.
