POLL: FBI’s Trump Raid Leads to Massive Uptick in GOP Voter Motivation

(Headline USA) Support for former President Donald Trump has surged among the GOP in the wake of the FBI’s raid on his Mar-a-Lago home, according to RedState.

A new poll from the Trafalgar Group found the raid increased Republicans’ and even independents’ motivation to vote this November.

More than 80% of Republican voters said they’re even more motivated to vote now, and 71.7% of independents said the same.

A majority of both Republicans and independents also believe the FBI’s raid was politically motivated, and that Trump was deliberately targeted.

More than 75% of Republicans said they think Trump’s “political enemies” are behind the raid, and 53.9% of independents agreed.

Another poll from Morning Consult and Politico found that Trump’s 2024 standing has jumped to the highest record since the 2020 election, according to the Daily Wire.

About 58% of Republican voters said they would support another Trump run, which is a 5% increase from two months ago.

“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said in a statement following the FBI raid.

“After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. They even broke into my safe!” Trump added. “It is political targeting at the highest level!”

Attorney General Merrick Garland revealed on Thursday that he “personally” approved the FBI’s search warrant and claimed he did so as an unbiased officer of the law.

“Faithful adherence to the rule of law is the bedrock principle of the Justice Department and of our democracy,” Garland said.

“Upholding the rule of law means applying the law evenly without fear or favor,” he continued. “Under my watch, that is precisely what the Justice Department is doing.”
