(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Far-left Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Rashida Talib, D-Mich., were arrested Tuesday, alongside 15 other members of Congress, in their latest abortion insurrection in Washington, D.C.
Correction: We made a total of 35 arrests for Crowding, Obstructing or Incommoding (DC Code § 22–1307).
That arrest number includes 17 Members of Congress.

Meanwhile, fellow Squad-member Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-N.Y., pretended to be hand-cuffed for the cameras.
Omar stated explicitly that she was there to protest the recent decision in the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, reported Fox News.
“Today I was arrested while participating in a civil disobedience action with my fellow Members of Congress outside the Supreme Court,” she said. “I will continue to do everything in my power to raise the alarm about the assault on our reproductive rights!”

Shortly afterward, police announced, “[s]ome of the demonstrators are refusing to get out of the street, so we are starting to make arrests.”
One insurrectionist Democrat legislator, Rep. Nydia Velazquez, D-N.Y., signaled a detachment from reality, by comparing the elite lawmakers’ ‘struggle’ to the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
“Today we marched to the SCOTUS to protest the radical right-wing decision to overturn Roe,” she said on her Twitter account.
“It’s time for some good trouble,” she continued. We won’t go back.”
The court’s Dobbs ruling last month determined that the nearly 50-year-old federal abortion mandate established under Roe v. Wade had never been constitutional in the first place.
Comically, one Twitter user recorded Ocasio–Cortez feigning handcuffs as a patient police officer escorted her out of a crosswalk.
This temper tantrum is but the latest in a long line of leftists breaking the law for the sake of infanticide.
Among other purile displays of defiance:
- Michigan’s Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has refused to enforce her state’s prohibition of abortion.
- Prosecutors have refused to enforce abortion bans.
- Pink-clad women have screeched over formal legislative processes banning abortion.
- The Federal Government has mandated abortion via executive fiat.
- Pregnancy centers have been vandalized.
