Megan Rapinoe to Receive Medal of Freedom for Being Gay

'She is a prominent advocate for gender pay equality, racial justice, and LGBTQI+ rights... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) White House rainbow-vote chaser President Joe Biden announced that he will be awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to U.S. soccer player and LGBT-activist Megan Rapinoe.

It is unclear what Rapinoe has done to achieve the highest honor the president is capable of bestowing upon an American citizen, even after Biden made an attempt at an explanation.

“Megan Rapinoe is an Olympic gold medalist and two-time Women’s World Cup champion,” the White House said in its announcement. “She also captains OL Reign in the National Women’s Soccer League.”

“She is a prominent advocate for gender pay equality, racial justice, and LGBTQI+ rights.”

According to Western Journal, Rapinoe has been a consistent advocate for equal pay in the professional sports world and equally consistent in her foul-mouthed attacks on former President Donald Trump.

The social-justice ball kicker once promised that she had no intention of “going to the f***ing White House” if invited, a statement apparently with the eloquence deserving of    the nation’s highest civilian honor.

Rapinoe, who is a lesbian, is a vocal supporter of abortion. She was also among the first to join former NFL player Colin Kaepernick in kneeling for the national anthem in 2016.

“I am humbled and truly honored to be chosen for this award by President Biden and feel as inspired and motivated as ever to continue this long history of fighting for the freedoms of all people,” Rapinoe said in a statement.

Rapinoe is one of 17 people who are being presented with the award. The presentation ceremony is scheduled for July 7 at the White House, which might prove a problem for Rapinoe given her previous sentiments.

Renowned quitter and Olympic gymnast Simione Biles is another athlete who will be receiving a medal. Other names include a roster of leftist figures, such as union leader Trichard Trumka and Gold Star father Khizr Khan.

Not all of the recipients were political—actor Denzel Washington and Greek Orhodox priest Father Alexander Karloutsos will also receive medals.

Posthumous awards will include Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and Arizona Sen. John McCain.
