(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Aaron Babbitt, a US Marine Corps veteran and husband of the late Ashli Babbitt, labeled the Jan. 6 Committee hearings as “complete BS from the left” in an interview with Newsmax’s Greg Kelly, according to the Gateway Pundit.
The grieving widower said Democrats’ politically motivated efforts to milk the pro-Trump uprising through the coming election season had become a familiar pattern.
“Every time something big Jan. 6 pops up, I can count on two things: Complete BS from the left and then Ashli trends on Twitter,” he said.
Babbitt signaled withering contempt for the process, stating that he would “watch [his] grass grow,” instead of watching Thursday’s primetime telivision hearing.
Babbit said he also intends to bring a lawsuit against Capitol Police after federal investigations exonerated Babbitt’s murderer, USCP Lt. Michael Byrd.
He said Byrd’s choice of legal representation pointed to an overtly politicized system of justice with echoes of the deep-state’s Russia collusion hoax, for which none have yet been held accountable.
“I don’t think a lot of people in America realize who Michael Byrd’s attorney, Mark Shamel, is,” Babbitt said.
“He [Mark Shamel] just had to recently take himself off the record because he was defending Danchenko during the Steele dossier case,” Babbitt added. “So, [Byrd] has been fed this high-powered, Clinton-attached DC attorney that he can’t afford. Somebody is paying for that.”
Byrd himself spoke out last year about shooting Babbit during an interview with NBC News anchor Lester Holt.
“I know that day I saved countless lives,” he claimed, although there is no evidence that Babbitt posed an imminent threat to anyone.
“I know members of Congress, as well as my fellow officers and staff, were in jeopardy and in serious danger,” he continued. “And that’s my job.”
