Biden Uncharacteristically Careful Not to ‘Prejudge’ Uvalde Police

'The president has the utmost respect, as you all know, for the men and women of law enforcement...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) After a two years of rushing to premature conclusions that serve his political imperative, President Joe Biden has made the remarkable claim that he wants to withhold judgment about the Uvalde Police Department’s response to the recent school shooting, the Daily Caller reported.

New White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said earlier this week that Biden “won’t prejudge the results” as the nation awaits an explanation for the bizarre decisions that were made.

She was asked to explain why the administration has not engaged in any investigations into the action, or lack thereof, of the Uvalde department.

Jean-Pierre simply noted that we should “try to find any lessons we can learn.”

According to the press secretary, Biden has and always will love law enforcement.

“We’ve been watching the reporting on this. The president has the utmost respect, as you all know, for the men and women of law enforcement,” Jean-Pierre said.

She then suggested that no decisions should be made as we await details of the situation.

“I know that right now authorities are working to piece together more details of what happened in Ulvade, so we won’t prejudge the results from here at this time.”

The press secretary also noted that we should do whatever we can “so that we can prevent [such tragedies] moving forward, including law enforcement response.”

Of course Biden was not so eager to withhold judgment about the police in a number of events in the recent past.

Biden even took action earlier this week circumventing Congress in order to force police reform across the nation.

“I’ve called on Congress to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, but Senate Republicans have stood in the way of progress,” he wrote.

“That’s why this afternoon, I’m taking action and signing an executive order that delivers the most significant police reform in decades.”
