Beto’s Uvalde PR Stunt Renews Spotlight on His Fantasy for Killing Kids

'You're out of line and an embarrassment... '

(Gregg Pupecki, Headline USA) Less than 24 hours after a horrific school shooting, Democrat Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke shamelessly crashed Republican Gov. Greg Abbott‘s press conference on the response to the shooting in Uvalde, Texas, where 19 children and two teachers were brutally killed.

Abbott had just finished speaking as the microphone was passed to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, when O’Rourke aggressively approached the stage and started berating the officials.

“Sit down,” Patrick said. “You’re out of line and an embarrassment.”

Much of O’Rourke’s disgraceful tirade was not audible but as he angrily pointed at the officials he was heard saying, “The time to stop the next shooting is right now, and you are doing nothing.”

O’Rourke was quickly shouted down by the officials on stage.

“Sir, you’re out of line,” Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin told O’Rourke three times, asking him to leave the auditorium. When O’Rourke continued his political theater, McLaughlin called him a “sick son of a bitch.”

O’Rourke was eventually escorted out of the auditorium and Abbott showed why he, and not Babbling Beto, was governor.

“There are family members whose hearts are broken,” Abbott said.

“There’s no words that anybody’s shouting can come up here and do anything to heal those broken hearts.

“Every Texan, every American, has a responsibility to focus not on ourselves and our agendas,” Abbott said.

“We need to focus on the healing and hope that we can provide to those who have suffered unconscionable damage to their lives.

The abnormal and unhinged behavior by O’Rourke is not an isolated incident. Questions about his mental state have been raised in the past.

The Daily Wire reported in 2019 that O’Rourke wrote about murdering children by running them over with a car in a “murder fantasy story.”

“One day, as I was driving home from work, I noticed two children crossing the street,” O’Rourke wrote. “They were happy, happy to be free from their troubles …This happiness was mine by right. I had earned it in my dreams.”

“As I neared the young ones, I put all my weight on my right foot, keeping the accelerator pedal on the floor until I heard the crashing of the two children on the hood, and then the sharp cry of pain from one of the two,” O’Rourke continued.

“I was so fascinated for a moment, that when after I had stopped my vehicle, I just sat in a daze, sweet visions filling my head.”

O’Rourke’s twisted writings continued, “As I drove home, I envisioned myself committing more of these ‘acts of love,’ and after a while, I had no trouble carrying them out.

“The more people I killed, the longer my dreams were. … I had killed nearly 38 people by the time of my twenty-third birthday, and each one was more fulfilling than the last.”
