Musk Teases New Twitter Ideas as Leftists Threaten to Jump Ship

'I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means... '

(John RansomHeadline USA) Elon Musk is slowly revealing his plans to turn Twitter back into a social utility rather than a social media platform that served only the Left.

Musk has vowed to turn the social media company into the public square that addresses issues of importance with debate, and unencumbered free speech, in accordance with local laws.

That and his other ideas about Twitter have won the endorsement of former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

“In principle, I don’t believe anyone should own or run Twitter,” Dorsey tweeted.

“Solving for the problem of it being a company however, Elon is the singular solution I trust. I trust his mission to extend the light of consciousness,” Dorsey added.

Musk has recently said that he would like to see Twitter embrace more diversity and be less quick to operate as a censor of speech and moderator.

“If in doubt, let the speech, let it exist,” Musk said, according to the Epoch Times.

“If it’s a grey area, I would say let the tweet exist. But obviously in a case where there’s perhaps a lot of controversy, that you would not want to necessarily promote that tweet,” Musk added.

But figures on the Left are apoplectic at Musk’s takeover and support of free speech.

“At its root, Elon Musk wanting to purchase Twitter is not about left vs right. It’s about white power,” said Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King, according to the New York Post.

This about a man who once stood in line six hours to shake the hand of President Barack Obama, according to Time.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., said that Musk was “dangerous for our democracy.”

“We need a wealth tax and strong rules to hold Big Tech accountable,” Warren added, according to the Post.

The UK’s Independent is keeping a running tally of liberals who have left Twitter so far and conservatives who have returned.

Tucker Carlson marked his return to Twitter by writing simply “we’re back,” reported the Independent.

Musk, however, said that there’s room for everybody on Twitter and that’s what makes Twitter so valuable to society.

“I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means,” tweeted the soon-to-be social media owner.
