Pelosi Posse Covering for Another Dem w/ Ethics Complaints

'We feel strongly we have got a good candidate... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Democrats in Washington have been running cover for allegedly corrupt Florida Congresswoman Val Demings, who is campaigning for Republican Marco Rubio‘s seat in the Senate, according to several recent reports.

The Nancy Pelosi-aligned Senate Majority PAC has invested heavily in Demings’ campaign, and Demings out-fundraised Rubio by nearly half in the first quarter of 2022, CNN reported.

J.B. Poersch, president of Senate Majority PAC, told Politico that he “likes the chances” of Rep. Demmings in 2022 midterms.

“We feel strongly we have got a good candidate,” Poersch said.

Democrats boast of Demings’ stint as a former Orlando police chief, who Pelosi in 2020 named as one of seven impeachment managers to present the case against former President Donald Trump

What Democrats won’t tell you is that Demings has been flagged for several ethics violations during her time in office.

In June 2021, Demings was caught using her official Twitter account to redirect followers to her campaign account, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

“Demings has committed a clear violation by using her official account to link to her campaign account,” the watchdog group Foundation For Accountability & Civic Trust wrote in a complaint. “Members cannot use their official position or taxpayer-funded resources for political gain.”

In November 2021, Americans For Public Trust filed another ethics complaint against Demings, alleging that she had violated the Federal Election Campaign Act after “fundraising solicitations” paid for by “non-federal funds” were sent on her behalf.

The solicitations were paid for by a Virginia political committee controlled by former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, Florida Politics reported.

In yet another incident, the Free Beacon reported in March that Demings had been investigated by the House Communications Standards Commission for illegally sending “a 12-page, campaign-style mailer to Floridians outside her district.”

Demings has pulled to within 7 percentage points of Rubio, according to a recent Mason-Dixon poll.

“We’re building the most robust campaign Rubio has ever faced, one that will let Floridians know that they have a choice between a 27-year law enforcement officer and a career politician who doesn’t show up for work,” Demings campaign manager Zack Carroll told Politico.
