Beto O’Rourke Has at Least Three Separate Positions on Border Crisis

'I have yet to hear a plan from the Biden administration to address the dynamic we will have on the border once Title 42 ends... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Famous Texas flip-flopper Beto O’Rourke is up to his old tricks again, this time taking different positions on the same issue based upon his audience at the time, the Daily Wire reported.

This time the issue was Title 42, which allows for the expedited deportation of illegal immigrants. In the past month, Beto has both suggested that Title 42 should be ended, and that it is necessary.

“I think it’s time to end Title 42. I don’t think we should have ever implemented it. It’s a very cynical reading of U.S. law,” O’Rourke said in a recent appearance on NBC.

He also made the same point in an April 8 interview with the Texas Tribune.

“Caught up with [Beto O’Rourke] today in San Antonio about the end of Title 42, which he’s called for,” Patrick Svitek, a journalist for the Tribune tweeted.

“He reiterated his argument/reasoning that ‘beyond not being honest to the law,’ Title 42 is ‘creating more chaos at the border’ by leading to more repeat crossing attempts.”

But a mere four days later, O’Rourke began suggesting that it would be rash to end Title 42 so soon, and that he would like to see an alternative suggestion before such a drastic action was taken.

The only caveat? You have to elect him first in order to see his plan.

“It does not make sense to end this until there is a real plan and the capacity in place to handle those and address those that come over,” O’Rourke told the Tribune later.

“I have yet to hear a plan from the Biden administration to address the dynamic we will have on the border once Title 42 ends.”

But then a few days later, Beto flopped back to his first position, calling Title 42 “a bad policy.”

“We must end Title 42,” he said. “We must do that responsibly, and the Biden administration must step up by meeting with these border communities and working with them to make sure that we do that.”
