SHOCK: Megyn Kelly Credits Trump for Exposing Dishonest Media

'But I had no idea how dishonest they are, how partisan they are, how much they hate the right half of the country... '

(Headline USAMegyn Kelly argued this week that one of the best things former President Donald Trump did for the country is expose how corrupt the mainstream media is.

During a podcast episode with “The Joe Pags Show” on Wednesday, the former Fox News host was asked what happened to the media industry.

“[Journalism] really is dead. I mean, it’s been dead for a while, and I think that’s the biggest gift that Donald Trump has given us,” Kelly said.

“And he gave us a lot of gifts in exposing corrupt industries and institutions we used to trust, like the FBI.”

Trump “brought out bias that was lurking right there, and just toying with us,” she added.

“I mean, did you have any idea that CNN was that biased?” she continued. “I always figured they were lefties. And you know, that’s fine.

“I don’t care if you’re a leftie or rightie, so long as you give me the news straight,” she said. “But I had no idea how dishonest they are, how partisan they are, how much they hate the right half of the country. It’s a gift to know.”

Kelly said that she is hopeful that journalism is on its way toward “coming back from the dead in a new form.”

Trump and Kelly clashed during the 2016 presidential primary debate after Kelly, who was moderating the debate, asked him about several “disparaging” comments he made about women.

“I think a big part of the problem with this country is with it being politically correct,” Trump responded. “I’ve been challenged by so many people, and quite frankly I don’t have time for total political correctness. And to be honest with you, this country doesn’t have time either.”
