(Headline USA) Rapper Cardi Bi is set to star in a children’s television show for Nickelodeon, the network announced this week.
The rap artist, who is perhaps best known for her profane song “WAP (Wet A** P***y),” will guest star as Sharki B on the animated series, “Baby Shark’s Big Show,” which is geared towards pre-schoolers. She will be joined by her husband, musician Offset, and 3-year-old daughter Kulture.
A press release about the cameo describes Cardi B’s animated character as “the biggest star in the seven seas — flashy, awe-inspiring, and ruthlessly fun — but always 100% herself and fin-spires other fishies to do the same.”
“Make sure you guys and your babies check out Me & my family episode on BABYSHARK series on Nicklelodeon !!!!” Cardi B wrote in an Instagram post, sharing a tweet of a Billboard article about the series.

The vast majority of Cardi B’s songs feature extreme profanity and graphic lyrics. She regularly brags about her past career as a stripper, and was even charged in 2018 for her involvement in a fight at a nightclub.
She has also weighed in political matters and become friends with a number of political figures, including Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., whom she endorsed during the 2020 election cycle.
Sanders even said he would endorse her if she chose to get into politics herself.
“Cardi B is deeply concerned about what’s happening in the country,” he said. “She knows what it’s like to live in poverty and struggle, and it would be great for her to bring that experience to politics.”
