(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In another apparent attempt to make the uprising at the US Capitol a sacred event in the minds of Americans, far-left outlet ProPublica has created an archive to document Jan. 6 videos from Parler.
ProPublica has compiled over 500 videos so far in order track down the Trump supporters. According to the website, the stock of videos is potentially triggering because they will remind people of that evil day.
“Taken together, they provide one of the most comprehensive records of a dark event in American history through the eyes of those who took part,” the site warns.
In a ProPublica article describing why they posted videos of the “insurrection,” the website editors claimed that they understand themselves to be providing “rich new detail to our understanding of this infamous moment in American history.”
They also claimed to be aiding the FBI in its attempts to press petty charges on Americans after a summer of Black Lives Matter violence during which few charges were pressed.
“A number of the videos capture threats to harm lawmakers, and a handful catch the kinds of behavior—smashing windows, assaulting police—that has led to criminal charges against dozens of people,” they wrote.
The website allegedly only wants to do its part in helping America’s police state watch Americans closely.
“It is not yet clear if law enforcement officials used the Parler videos to identify suspects, though the programmer says the FBI has access to the material,” the site states.
