(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) The Russian Ministry of Defence has claimed that the Ukrainian military has been developing bioweapons in U.S.-funded laboratories, according to a report by Kyle Becker.

According to a Becker News translation, the Russian military has discovered documents suggesting that “components of biological weapons [that] were being developed in Ukraine, in close proximity to Russian territory.”
“In the course of a special military operation, the facts of an emergency cleansing by the Kiev regime of traces of a military biological program being implemented in Ukraine, funded by the US Department of Defense, were uncovered,” Major General Igor Yevgenyevich Konashenkov, chief spokesman for the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, said in a video.
The relevant documents appear to be official communications from Ukrainian Minister of Healthcare Viktor Liashko calling for the destruction of “biological pathogenic agents” in the event of a military emergency.
“This Order determines the mechanism of carrying out the emergency destruction of biologic pathogenic agents, which are used to ensure the quality management system of laboratory tests . . . in case of military situations,” the order author wrote.
The document goes on to describe the procedures for the destruction and disposal of the hazardous materials, and then lists the materials:

Evidence for the U.S. funding of bioweapons labs in Ukraine has been described as “misinformation” by fact-checking websites and the Kyiv Post, but Becker suggests that the media’s fact-checking performance in the era of COVID-19 has been less than reliable.
“There is no strong evidence of U.S. funded ‘bioweapons’ research in Ukraine,” Becker concluded. “But the U.S. embassy in Ukraine lists biological ‘threat reduction’ laboratories, similar to the ones the U.S. funded in Wuhan.”
