(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Due to her COVID-19 diagnosis, Queen Elizabeth II has cancelled all virtual engagements and is rumored to be taking ivermectin.
The Queen has cancelled up-and-coming engagements and is said to be performing “light duties,” likely referring to reading and answering letters received in her red dispatch boxes, according to the Epoch Times.
Rumors of the queen taking ivermectin as a result of her diagnosis have also been flying—an Australian news network found itself in hot water after implying the queen was taking the drug.
The show “A Current Affair” showed a video package comprised of a voiceover, interview and images of two different drugs. The way the video was edited together implied that the interviewee, Dr. Mukesh Haikerwal, suggested the Queen could benefit from ivermectin.
“These tablets, or these infusions, can make a dramatic difference to their immediate welfare and health to how they feel, but also the long term benefits as well,” said Haikerwal in a voice over, as an image of Stromectol, the U.S. brand name for ivermectin, appeared on the screen.
The network released a statement apologizing for the inference that the Queen was using ivermectin, and apologizing that Dr. Haikerwal endorsed the medicine.
But, the rumor mill had already started churning and many people on both sides are questioning the validity of the report:
