U.S. House Passes Anti-Communist Chinese Genocide Bill

'The US has been fabricating the biggest lie of the century about so-called 'genocide' in Xinjiang... '

The US House of Representatives voted 428-1 to ban all goods coming from China’s Xinjiang region to address concerns regarding slave labor practices and other repressive measures by the communist government in the majority Muslim Uyghur region of China said the Epoch Times.

“The measure, which was previously passed by the House in 2020, would create a ‘rebuttable presumption’ that all goods from Xinjiang, where the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has set up a vast network of detention and reeducation camps for Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities, are made with forced labor,” wrote the Epoch Times.

Companies bringing goods in from that region would be required to show substantial proof that they were manufactured without the use of slave labor.

The CCP, under General Secretary-for-life Xi Jinping, has been tightening its grip on the region, determined to make the ethnic and religious minority merge into both communist and Han Chinese culture by forced marriages and forced reproduction that will eventually dilute the minorities,  a technique also known as gene-washing.

“Since 2017, Beijing has waged a campaign to forcibly assimilate the Uyghur community, carrying out widespread surveillance and repression, as well as detaining many members of the mostly Muslim ethnic minority in centers and camps,” said CNN.

The result has been more a forcible denunciation by Western powers over these Chinese communist practices that amount to genocide, which denunciations first gained momentum under the U.S.-Chinese economic decoupling by then-President Donald Trump, and has accelerated because of the COVID pandemic.

“The US has been fabricating the biggest lie of the century about so-called ‘genocide’ in Xinjiang, but it has long been debunked by facts,” China’s foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said about the accusations.

Zhao, 49, is known as one of the wolf warrior diplomats who uses exaggerated rhetoric to attack opponents, often using Twitter.

Now that the bill has passed the House, it must go back to the Senate, where it’s expected to pass.

Then it will go to the White House for the signature of President Joe Biden, whose administration has been lobbying for a watered down version of the bill.
