Biden’s Former Border Patrol Chief Says Admin Intentionally Enables Illegal Immigration

'Political appointees within DHS have provided factually incorrect information to Congressional Representatives and to the American public...'

In a letter to lawmakers this week, President Joe Biden’s first Border Patrol chief Rodney Scott accused the administration of enabling illegal immigration and creating a massive national security crisis along the southern border.

Scott, who was pushed out of the administration last month, informed senators on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that Biden officials repeatedly and deliberately ignored advice from immigration experts who urged them to get the migrant crisis under control.

“The Biden administration’s team at [the Department of Homeland Security] is laser-focused on expediting the flow of migrants into the U.S. and downplaying the significant vulnerability this creates for terrorists, narcotics smugglers, human traffickers, and even hostile nations to gain access to our homeland,” he said in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and several others, according to Just The News.

At this point, border officials are incapable of even knowing “who and what is entering our Homeland,” he added.

Scott also accused Biden of intentionally withholding and falsifying information about the severity of the immigration crisis from Congress.

“Of grave concern, is the fact that [DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas] and other political appointees within DHS have provided factually incorrect information to Congressional Representatives and to the American public.

“Furthermore, they have directed [Border Patrol] personnel to allow otherwise ineligible aliens to remain in the U.S. inconsistent with the … established legal processes and law,” Scott said.

Biden forced Scott, a 29-year law enforcement veteran, out of the administration last month as part of the administration’s effort to get rid of anyone sympathetic towards former president Donald Trump’s policies.

Scott has publicly rebuked Biden for repealing many of Trump’s immigration policies, but maintained a good working relationship with Mayorkas and other administration officials, according to several of his colleagues.
