Texas Sheriff: Illegal Immigrants Intentionally Damaging Property

'I’ve never seen it quite like this. Somebody’s making a statement...'

According to a Texas sheriff and veteran border agent, illegal immigrants have been intentionally damaging property, the Epoch Times reported.

“We’re starting to see more intentional damage,” said Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe, who spent 31 years as a Border Patrol agent.

“I’ve never seen it quite like this,” he added. “Somebody’s making a statement.”

Coe has received reports of illegals trashing fields, smashing water pipes, leaving faucets running and destroying fences, among other acts of vandalism.

Miles of fencing has been destroyed, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars for ranchers to replace.

“It’s all just out of spite, I think,” Coe said.

Due to the unsafe conditions on ranches and farms, many landowners feel compelled to carry weapons with them on their own property.

Most illegal immigrants are young men and boys without families.

According to Coe, they have only recently begun to intentionally trash the property of American ranchers.

He said illegal immigrants used to take a more deferential approach to landowners—they used to avoid homes and private property unless they truly needed help.

But since President Joe Biden took office, an immigration crisis has ensued and things have changed for the worse.

Illegals have taken a more entitled approach in their dealings with American citizens.

“These people now, they’re demanding, ‘You will feed me, you will give me water,’” he said.

Uvalde County Sheriff Ruben Nolasco has noticed the same thing, saying that the illegal immigrants now are more aggressive.

“And [the resident] finally had to cock the hammer back and say, ‘Hey, you take a step further, then things are gonna change here,'” said Nolasco. “That’s the last thing I want to hear—that we have a shooting, [that] we have somebody that had to kill somebody … I hope it never happens.”

According to Coe, we should not expect things to slow down until October, as the summer is the most popular time to attempt to cross the border.
