Trump Warns GOP: McConnell Will Be ‘Helpless’ Against Biden’s Court-Packing

"He didn't fight for the Presidency, and he won't fight for the Court..."

Former president Donald Trump warned Republicans that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., won’t be able to stop President Joe Biden from adding seats to the Supreme Court if that’s what he decides to do.

“Our politically correct Supreme Court will get what they deserve—an unconstitutionally elected group of Radical Left Democrats who are destroying our Country,” Trump said in a statement issued through his Save America political action committee.

“With leaders like Mitch McConnell, they are helpless to fight,” Trump added. “He didn’t fight for the Presidency, and he won’t fight for the Court.”

Trump’s comments followed an executive order signed by Biden creating a 36-person “bipartisan” commission that will study various judiciary reforms, including court-packing.

The commission will not issue specific recommendations, but leftists will almost certainly use its “report” to justify an expansion of the Supreme Court bench.

This is just the latest attack on McConnell by Trump. The former president reportedly called the senator a “dumb son of a b—h” during a speech to Republican donors at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Saturday, referring to McConnell’s refusal to stand up to voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

“If that were Schumer instead of this dumb son of a b—h Mitch McConnell, they would never allow it to happen. They would have fought it,” Trump said.

McConnell, however, has refused to engage with Trump.

He sidestepped questions about Trump’s insult on Monday, and has not directly mentioned or criticized Trump since the Senate’s second impeachment trial, when McConnell blamed Trump for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
