Rep. Marjorie Greene, R-Ga., displayed a sign reading, “There are two genders: Trust the science,” outside of her congressional office after one of her Democratic colleagues hung a transgender flag nearby.
Rep. Marie Newman, D-Ill., whose child identifies as a transgender, had earlier posted a video of herself hanging the pink-, white- and blue-striped flag in response to Greene’s vote against the controversial ‘Equality’ Act.

The legislation—which the House was set to vote on Thursday—would formally codify so-called abortion rights, as well as transgender protections, into law.
Currently, gender is considered a protected class under anti-discrimination guidelines, but leftists say the laws must also be updated to include gender identity.
In practice, some fear that could lead to unintended consequences by allowing people to identify arbitrarily as victims of oppression in order to reap the legal benefits.
The contentious debate over trans rights already has pitted young female athletes against activist attack-dogs who insist that biological males should be eligible to compete with them under Title IX‘s equal-opportunity mandates.
During debate earlier in the week, Greene slammed the bill as a “direct attack on God’s creation.”
She also warned that leftists would use it to attack religious Americans who object to the extremist dogma on the basis of their own beliefs.
