Bail Fund Touted By Kamala Harris Freed Violent Criminal Charged Again

'I often don’t even look at a charge when I bail someone out...'

A bail fund touted by Vice President Kamala Harris helped bail out a violent rioter who was charged again a few weeks ago.

Thomas Moseley, 29, was slapped with three new charges in January, including fifth-degree drug possession, possession of a dangerous weapon in a courthouse, and second-degree rioting while armed with a dangerous weapon, according to Alpha News.

He was previously released from jail on a $5,000 bond paid for by the Minnesota Freedom Fund on property and gun possession charges following an October riot in Minneapolis.

Moseley was also arrested during a “New Year’s Eve melee,” where rioters graffitied “Down with America,” “Kill all cops,” “Crimewave 2021,” and “America’s last year,” the outlet reported.

“During the course of these detentions and investigation, officers recovered a handgun, knives, three cans containing a suspected wax and fuel substance, a green laser, mace, improvised spike balls, a taser, fireworks, gas masks, body armor, helmets, and 2-way radios,” the charges stated. “Additionally, it was learned that the group had a designated ‘emergency medical technician.,’”

Harris promoted the Minnesota Freedom Fund last June after the death of George Floyd. The fund helped bail out several violent criminals, including a man who was charged with raping a young girl.

The man, Timothy Wayne Columbus, was released from a Minneapolis jail on $75,000 bail in early July, and shortly thereafter signed a document saying that all refunded bill money should be directed to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.

Greg Lewin, the interim executive director of MFF, admitted that the group doesn’t look closely at the records of the individuals they’re bailing out.

“I often don’t even look at a charge when I bail someone out,” Lewin said. “The last time we were down there, the clerk said, ‘We hate it when you bail out these sex offenders.’ That is what they said.”
