Lindsey Graham Hits Back At Squad: ‘I’m Going to Bury Your Agenda’

'To those who are trying to silence me — you will fail miserably!'

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., fired back at progressive “Squad” members who called on him to resign after a report alleged that he suggested that Georgia officials should toss suspicious mail-in ballots.

“I can understand why the Squad doesn’t want me in the Senate,” Graham wrote on Twitter. “Because I’m going to bury your agenda.”

The Washington Post reported last week that Graham asked Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger if he had the power to reject absentee or mail-in ballots that were deemed suspicious.

“It was just an implication of, ‘Look hard and see how many ballots you could throw out,’” Raffensperger said of his conversation with Graham.

Graham, however, disputed Raffensperger’s characterization of the conversation, saying he was trying to seek an understanding of the process by which fraudulent ballots might be rejected, not to suggest that legal votes should be.

Raffensperger, a Republican, has come under considerable fire from several of Georgia’s GOP congressional leaders due to his apparent mishandling of the Nov. 3 election.

Immediately after this news broke, members of the “Squad” blasted Graham, without evidence, for allegedly trying to subvert democracy.

Graham dismissed their demands and pointed out that he “must be doing something right” if the Democratic Party’s most extreme members are calling for his resignation.

“I will continue to try to find common ground where possible, but will not hesitate to vigorously oppose the radical domestic and foreign policy agenda of The Squad and other liberal critics,” Graham continued. “To those who are trying to silence me — you will fail miserably!”
